Fastpitch Showdowns' Mountaineer Showdown is played at Godbey Fields and draws travel softball teams from nearby states, including the Pittsburgh Lady Roadrunners from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and Ohio teams such as Ohio Swat, Premier Ohio and the Ohio Generals (Fastpitch Showdowns).

Blennerhassett Island Historical State Park

The area's signature stop: a West Virginia state park on an Ohio River island with a rebuilt Palladian mansion, plus the Blennerhassett Museum of Regional History in downtown Parkersburg. A seasonal sternwheeler carries visitors out to the island, so check the park's page before you go (WV State Parks, Wyndham).
