About TourneyGuides
TourneyGuides is a set of travel guides for families heading to youth baseball and softball games. There is one guide per field complex, and each one answers the questions parents ask before a weekend away: where to stay near the fields, where the team can eat, what to do between games and what the fields are like.
We cover 287 complexes in 5 states so far: Arizona, California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington.
How guides are researched
- Official sources first. Field details come from official city, park district and complex sources, and each guide lists the sources it used, with links.
- "Not yet verified" instead of guessing. When we can't find a published source for something, such as the field surface, the guide says "Not yet verified" rather than filling the gap.
- Hotels and restaurants. Hotels are chosen for how close they are to the fields, with drive times estimated from road routing. Restaurants and coffee shops are local, independent places wherever we can find them.
- Reader reports are leads. Every guide has a form for corrections. We treat each report as a lead: we check it against a published source before we change the page.
- Timeless guides. Guides describe the complex and the area around it. They don't list event schedules or organizer rules, so check your own tournament's rules for hotel requirements before you book.
How the site makes money
Hotel links are affiliate links. Booking through our hotel links may earn us a small commission. It helps pay for researching these parks and doesn't change your price.
