Gulf State Park

The Gulf Coast's signature outing, about 12 minutes away: a good trip on a day off or an evening after games. Alabama state park with Gulf beaches, a fishing and education pier, miles of biking on the Backcountry Trail and a butterfly garden. Gulf Coast summers are hot, humid and sunny: bring a canopy or other shade, sunscreen and plenty of water.
Pop-up afternoon storms are common in summer; keep rain gear handy, and bring a towel and a change of clothes if you're heading to the beach after games.
