Field surface: Turf + grass diamonds; sources differ
Turf and grass diamonds. Seattle Parks' baseball field list shows Magnuson Fields 8 and 9, the baseball diamonds in the Mickey Merriam Sports Complex, as synthetic turf, and GSL Tournaments' field list rates Magnuson Park as turf. The park's own description of the complex also lists natural-turf baseball diamonds plus mixed-turf softball and Little League fields. The two city pages describe the diamonds differently, so check your schedule for which field you're on. (Seattle Parks baseball field list: Field 8 (baseball, synthetic) and Field 9 (baseball, synthetic, youth only, lights). Seattle Parks park features page: the Mickey Merriam Sports Complex (Fields 5–12) has 3 synthetic turf multi-use fields, 2 natural-turf baseball diamonds, 1 natural-turf multi-use field, 1 mixed-turf softball field and 1 mixed-turf Little League field.)
