Field surface: Dirt infields

Dirt infields. In 2013 the City of Spokane renovated Field 5 by tilling in 2 tons of ball infield mix and conditioners, with the other four fields next in line. A 2026 state grant request would rebuild all five fields as a youth baseball and softball complex with artificial infields; the fields have been in their current layout since the 1980s. If that project is funded and built, this will change. (5-field softball/baseball complex (City of Spokane: "five-plex softball complex") plus soccer fields)
